Anak nina Ronnie at Mariz puwedeng i-partner kay Coco Martin!

YSTAR - Baby E - Pang-masa

Maganda ang registration sa big screen ng panganay nina Ronnie Ricketts at Mariz na si Marella, na introducing in her dad’s comeback movie The Fighting Chefs. Potential leading lady and not necessarily of her Dad.

But obviously, curiosity lang ang dahilan why Marella volunteered to do a role in The Fighting Chefs na diumano’y ikinagulat nina Ronnie at Mariz. Never daw kasing nagkahinala ang mag-asawa na may balak ang anak to follow their footsteps.

Of course, illegally.

The Fighting Chefs was premiered at the Robinsons Galleria last Monday. And there was an overflow crowd that made Ronnie, as well as Mariz, happy and proud. The film, which Ronnie directed based on a story he co-wrote, opens in theaters nationwide today, March 6.

Ronnie, likewise, co-produces the movie for his Rocketts Productions with Viva Films.

As Ronnie had said in interviews, it was Viva Film’s big boss, Vic del Rosario, who convinced him to stage a film comeback as a movie star, director, and producer. The reaction of the crowd at the premiere and the favorable comments heard from them, especially sa third part ng pelikula, convinced Ronnie na may puwang pa siya sa showbiz.

Kaya tanong namin: Does this mean he will go full time again sa pag-arte?

“Perhaps, I will do one again,” sagot ni Ronnie. “Although, not this soon. For me, hanggang head ako ng OMB it will remain my priority,” pahayag pa ni Ronnie.

The Fighting Chefs, with Ronnie playing the role of a Master Chef, whose specialty is herbal soup that miraculously cured its customer’s illness, also includes no less than popular Chef Boy Logro.

Chef Boy laughingly revealed that in The Fighting Chefs, ibang recipe ang matitikman sa kanya ng manonood. This time he displays his talent for comedy and fighting stunts.

Also in the cast are Hero Angeles, Vandolph, Jeffrey Santos, Joross Gamboa, John Hall, Arci Muñoz, and Onyok Velasco. In a special role are Mark Gil, Roi Vizon, and Roldan Aquino.

People close to Nora Aunor vehemently deny report na sa recent pag-alis niya for the US ay wala na itong balak pang bumalik ng Pilipinas. Never Say Goodbye on TV5, and the upcoming indie film on Editha Burgos, which the Bautista siblings — Harlene, Hero, and Quezon City Mayor Herbert (Bautista) — will produce.
