Angelica suki sa MMFF!
Three consecutive years nang palagiang may entry si Angelica Panganiban sa annual Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
First, there was I Love You…Goodbye which was Star Cinema’s entry sa MMFF 2010.
The film, which co-starred her with Gabby Concepcion, Kim Chiu, and former boyfriend Derek Ramsay, proved a big box-office hit.
Likewise, her second MMFF entry, Segunda Mano, was adjudged second top grosser in the last year’s filmfest. The movie also starred Kris Aquino and Dingdong Dantes.
In her current entry for this MMFF, One More Try, Angelica is reunited with Dingdong as they play a married couple in the movie.
Tama lang, ayon kay Angelica, na i-describe na family drama with a difference ang One More Try. Complicated and sitwasyon, involving the four characters in the movie, na kinabibilangan pa rin nina Angel Locsin at Zanjoe Marudo.
“Actually, walang itulak-kabigin sa role each of us assigned. Sobrang ang ganda ng bawat role namin bukod sa very challenging.
“Kaya manalo man ang kahit sino sa amin ni Angel ng best actress trophy we will be happy for each other,” sabi ni Angelica.
This early, pini-predict na ni Direk Ruel Bayani na may laban sina Angel at Angelica for the award for the best actress category, kahit pa sabihing no less that Nora Aunor for her performance in Thy Womb, also an MMFF entry, ang katapat ng dalawa.
Malaki rin ang pag-asa, ayon pa rin kay Direk Ruel, na mag-emerge as top grosser ang pelikula.
Alice tikom ang bibig sa naging kapalaran sa asawa
Ayaw aminin o i-deny ni Alice Dixson ang balitang hiwalay na sila ng asawang isang Pinoy din pero permanent resident sa Canada.
Seksing-seksi si Alice nang makausap namin siya sa Christmas party na idinaos ng TV5.
Ang TV5, if you recall, ang nag-encourage kay Alice na bumalik from Canada where she lived with her husband for a few years para magbalik-showbiz. Naging isa sa main characters siya, bukod kina Susan Roces at Eric Quizon, sa first drama series ng Kapatid Network, ang Babaeng Hampaslupa.
Sinundan ito ng isa pang series. At sa kasalukuyan nga ay tampok siya sa teleseryeng Enchanted Garden with Ruffa Gutierrez at Rufa Mae Quinto.
Alice may soon start work, we heard, in Never Say Goodbye. She will co-star for the first time with Cesar Montano.
Alice and her husband are childless.
Dating magkarelasyon na sinA John James at Carla nag-isnaban
Still sa nabanggit na Christmas party ng TV5, napansin ng ilang bisitang members of the entertainment press na ’di nagbatian sina Carla Humphries at John James Uy, dating mag-syota.
Itong si Carla, kung inyong natatandaan, ay na-link din sa kanyang dating Kapamilya talent na si Janus del Prado.
Isa si Carla sa aspiring stars na hanggang ngayon ay ’di pa nabibiyaan ng stardom, tulad ng kanyang pangarap. Tall, mestisa-looking and with a sexy countenance, ideal, kung sabagay si Carla sa mga sexy role.
John James, meanwhile, finally is a star in the recently released flick, Rigodon, where he is teamed up with newcomer Yam Concepcion.
He is currently doing a movie with Juana Change (real name Mae Paner). He is also featured in TV5’s Enchanted Garden.
Si Janus naman sa kasalukuyan ay kasama sa kasalukuyang high-rating series na A Beautiful Affair, starring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo.
