Noontime shows magiging matindi ang banggaan sa 2013!

YSTAR - Baby E - Pang-masa

Wow, Salve A., come 2013 mukhang ’di lamang network war ang mamamayani! May war din among noontime shows in all three networks, GMA 7, TV5, and ABS-CBN.

It’s almost sealed and done na raw kasi ang paglipat ng timeslot ng programa ni Willie Revillame, ang Wiltime Big Time, to 12 noon daily, and obviously including Saturday.

For the past two years, Willie’s game show occupied the primetime slot of the network na siyang dahilan diumano kung bakit nahihirapang mag-rate ang mga show na sumusunod sa Wiltime Big Time.

With the show’s transfer to a noontime slot automatically will cause a head on collision between Willie’s program and the long-existing ng Eat Bulaga on GMA 7.

Ganun pa man, huwag ding kalilimutang may noontime program din ang ABS-CBN, It’s Showtime, hosted by no less than the gay comedian-TV host of the hour, Vice Ganda, prime comic actor Vhong Navarro, and, of course, sultry Anne Curtis.

As it is, It’s Showtime is creating its own following, who now make it a habit na panoorin ang show.

Well, ito ang magandang ‘‘labanan’’ sa himpapawid, wika nga, na dapat lang abangan at subaybayan.

Kristine wala pang planong umarte uli

To keep herself busy, while at the same looking after her two kids, Kristine Hermosa is taking up culinary arts with Oyo Sotto. She also tries to learn new things via the current technology.

Still one of local showbiz’s most beautiful faces, Kristine, apparently, has no immediate plans to stage a movie or TV comeback.

Husband Oyo, on the other hand, is cast together with his Daddy Vic Sotto, Judy  Ann Santos, and Sen. Bong Revilla, Jr. in Si Agimat, Si Enteng at si Ako.

Also starring are Oyo’s fellow young stars, Jolo Revilla, Aldrin Richard, and Anton Revilla, son of former Seiko Films star, Princess Revilla.

Gloria Diaz devastated sa pagkawala ni Direk Celso

It’s understandable why former Miss Universe Gloria Diaz feels most affected with the death of director, Celso Ad Castillo. After all, it was him who directed her first movie, Ang Pinakamagandang Hayop sa Balat ng Lupa which started the ‘‘wet look’’ in local cinema.

Gloria wore no bra in most of her scenes in the movie na karamihan ay sa isang island kinunan.

Both she and Elizabeth Oropeza, then very new in the acting game herself, wore flimsy white outfits displaying their respective upper bumper.

The two of them became sudden stars and in demand for projects.

Gloria and Elizabeth are still in showbiz, playing mostly mother roles. Both have grown up children but have retained their charm, although, si Elizabeth has gained so much weight na.

Gloria has somehow retained her Miss Universe figure.

For those of you who don’t know it yet, by the way, Elizabeth has become a healer of sorts. She maintains a clinic somewhere near Fairview, Quezon City.

Enchong feel na feel ang pagiging aswang hunter

Big challenge para kay Enchong Dee ang role na ginagampanan niya sa The Strangers, a Metro Manila Film Festival entry.

He plays an aswang hunter. Kaya most of his scenes, he said, were mostly shot supposedly in a jungle. Since parang hermit siya rito, wala siyang puwedeng ituring na glamour scene.

Unlike his co-stars, Enrique Gil and Julia Montes, who play twins naman in the indie movie.

Magkaka-engkuwentro silang tatlo that somehow proves the film’s highlight.

Produced by Quantum Films, The Strangers is directed by Lawrence Fajardo, whose last indie project was Posas.

The Strangers is based on a story and script of John Bedia, JP Abellera, and Enrico Santos.
