MANILA, Philippines — “I confirm that I have completely exited the administration of President Bongbong Marcos, after having spoken to him at length about my wish to spend most of my time with my family… a very personal decision that was happily made.”
Ito ang inihayag ni Atty. Victor Rodriguez na hindi na siya parte ng administrasyong Marcos matapos na nagsilbi bilang Executive Secretary sa loob ng tatlong buwan.
Nauna rito, pinabulaanan ni Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin na mayroong Administrative Order No. 1 na nagtatalaga kay Rodriguez bilang presidential chief of staff.
“The fundamental reason for this is the fact that all communications that have transpired between the President and myself are absolutely privileged, something which I shall continue to honor in full recognition of and respect to both the Office of the President and the Office of the Executive Secretary,” ayon kay Rodriguez.
Sinabi pa rin ni Rodriguez na siya ay pinagtatawanan, sinisiraan at target ng hindi patas na mga komentaryo kung kaya’t nangangailangan muna siya ng panahon na makapagpahinga at maghilom.
Sa kabilang dako, isa aniyang malaking karangalan na mabigyan siya ng pagkakataon na makapagsilbi sa bansa at hinikayat ang publiko na ipagpatuloy ang pagsuporta sa administrasyong Marcos.
