Alert status sa SONA nanatili - AFP

MANILA, Philippines - Walang mababago sa ipinapatupad na alert status sa State of the Nation Address ni Pangulong Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III ngayon araw.

Ito ang sinabi ni Armed Forces of the Phi­lippines (AFP) public affairs office chief Lt. Col. Noel Detoyato bilang pagha­handa sa nasabing SONA.

Nauna rito ay sinabi ng kagawaran na wala silang nakikitang banta sa seguridad sa SONA, gayon pa man magpapa­kalat din sila ng tropa na naka-standby sa anumang maaring mangyari sa nasabing okasyon.

May 500 tropa mula sa General Headquarters, Army, Navy, Air Force at ang Tanay 2nd Infantry Division ang maaring rumesponde kapag may naganap na kaguluhan.

Ang mga sundalo mula sa General headquarters sa Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City kabilang ang Security Escort Battalion, Military Police Battalion at Joint Task Force-National Capital Region ay naka-antabay rin.

Habang ang mga militante ay mala­yang makapagpropotesta kung saan hiniling na huwag gumawa ng aksyon na maaring magdulot ng kaguluhan.
