MANILA, Philippines - Sa ikalawang araw ng imbestigasyon ng Senado hinggil sa madugong insidente sa Mamasapano ay hindi pa rin dumalo sa kabila ng paggiit ng mga senador kay Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) chief peace negotiator Mohagher Iqbal.
Nagpadala noong Lunes si Iqbal ng liham kay Senador Grace Poe na nagsasabing hindi ito makadadalo dahil makikipag-ugnayan pa siya sa MILF Central Committee kaya ang tumayong kinatawan ng MILF ay si MILF Coordinating Committee on the Cessation of Hostilities (CCCH) Chairperson Rasid Ladiasan.
Sa pagdinig kahapon ay isang liham muli ang natanggap ni Poe mula kay Iqbal kaugnay ng hindi muli nito pagsipot sa pagdinig.
Sa pagbasa ni Ladiasan sa liham, sinabi ni Iqbal na tinanggap na ng MILF Central Committee ang imbitasyon pero inatasan anya siyang lumutang lamang sa Senado oras na matapos ang imbestigasyon ng kanilang hanay kaugnay ng insidente.
Hiling din ng MILF na magkaroon ng executive session sa mga senador.
Kasunod ng pasasalamat sa imbitasyon, binanggit ni Iqbal sa sulat: “Please be assured that the Moro Islamic Liberation Front is fully committed as the Senate is in the search for truth and justice.”
Pero nakasulat din, “Until the peace agreement is fully implemented, we will remain to be a revolutionary organization.”
Umalma rito si Senador Bongbong Marcos. Anya, nakaaalarma ang ipinahihiwatig ng liham. “Until the Bangsamoro government is formed, we are still at war with the MILF?... Is that the correct interpretation?”
“It is in direct contradiction to the testimony [of] both sides that signed the Framework Agreement and were pushing for the BBL (Bangsamoro Basic Law), it is in direct contradiction to the conditions that were described to us in our hearings in Mindanao and here in Manila.”
Hindi naman ito nasagot ni Ladiasan dahil wala anya siya sa posisyon na i-interpret ang naturang liham.
