25K security forces ikakalat sa papal visit

MANILA, Philippines – Idedeploy ng pamunuan ng Philippine National Police ang 25,000 security forces kabilang ang ilang libong pulis upang matiyak ang peace and order kaugnay ng pagbisita sa bansa ni Pope Francis sa Enero 15.

Ayon kay Chief Supt. Wilben Mayor, Chief ng PNP Public Information Office (PNP-PIO) na maagang ikinasa ng PNP ang seguridad kasunod ng binuong Special Task Force “Papal Visit 2015” na pinamumunuan ni Director Ricardo Marquez, PNP Directorate for Operations.

May dalawang Task Groups para sa lungsod ng Maynila at Leyte bukod pa sa iba pang Subtask Groups sa lahat ng venue na tutunguhin at bibisitahin ng Santo Papa ay mahigpit na babantayan ng mga operatiba ng pulisya.

Nilinaw naman ng opisyal na ang 25,000 puwersa ng security forces ay hindi lamang manggagaling sa PNP kundi maging sa iba pang law enforcement agencies kabilang ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Presidential Security Group (PSG) alinsunod sa ‘joint whole government  approach’.
