NMMAPP host ng Asian Mixed Martial Arts Manila Open

MANILA, Philippines — Idaraos ng Nasyonal Mixed Martial Arts Pe­de­rasyon ng Pilipinas (NMMAPP)  ang unang Asian Mixed Martial Arts Manila Open sa Oktubre 14 hanggang 16 sa Grand ballroom ng Marriott hotel.

Ito ang inihayag kaha­pon ni Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) at NMMAPP president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino kasama si Secretary-Gene­ral Alvin Aguilar para sa 11-division weight class competitions na suportado ng 9 Dynasty.

“This is a good opportu­nity for all MMA fighters to show their fighting skills not only in some other fight promotions, but this is also a great avenue for them to fight for their flag and country in the Southeast Asian Games and Asian Games,” wika ni Tolentino.

Magbibigay din ang NMMAPP sa 11 winners ng bawat dibisyon kasama ang dalawang women’s weight classes ng cash rewards.

Ang gold medalist ay tatanggap ng $8,000, habang ang silver at bronze medalist ay bibigyan ng $4,000 at $2,000, ayon sa pagkakasunod.

Tiniyak naman ni Aguilar, ang founding father ng Philippine MMA at pangulo ng Wrestling Association of the Philippines (WAP), ang kaligtasan ng mga fighters kasama ang mga Pinoy na gustong maging kagaya nina Arvin Chan, Annie Parungao, Carlo Laurel at Geli Bulaong.
