AFAD arms show idaraos sa SMX

MANILA, Philippines — Hahataw ang Defense and Sporting Arms Show na inorganisa ng Association of Firearms and Ammunition Dealers, Inc. (AFAD) sa Agosto 21 hanggang 25 sa SMX Convention Center sa Pasay City.

Inaasahang dadalo sa programa sina Presidential son at Ilocos Norte 1st District Congressman Ferdinand Alexander ‘Sandro’ Araneta Marcos, Senate President Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero, at Senator Lito Lapid gayundin ang ilang opisyales ng Philippine National Police (PNP) at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

Ilalatag ang iba’t ibang matitikas na sporting firearms at shooting products mula sa mga local at international manufacturers.

Sinabi ni AFAD spokesperson Alaric ‘Aric’ Topacio na libong mga imported at local products mula sa 40 exhibitors ang makikita sa limang-araw na programa.

“We’re fully booked, and our members and exhibitors are eager to make this year’s arms show unforgettable,” ani Topacio sa media launch na ginanap sa Milkyway Restaurant sa Makati City.

May bago ding mga opis­yales ang AFAD.

Nangunguna na si Edwin Peter Lim ng Magnus Sports Shops na itinalaga bilang president ng grupo.

Kasama rin sa Board sina Reynaldo C. Espineli ng R. Espineli Trading (Vice President), Maria Cristina Tuason-Gonzalez ng Squires Bingham International, Inc. (Secretary), Edwin D. Año, Jr. ng Topspot Guns and Ammunition Trading (Treasurer), at Topacio (Comptroller).

Nasa grupo rin sina Patrick James Dionisio ng P.B. Dionisio & Co., Inc., Dino Reyes ng Lynx Firearms and Ammunition, Mary Grace Parilla ng True Weight at Ivy Illine Sapasap ng Imperial Guns, Ammo & Accessories.

“This marks AFAD’s 30th Defense and Sporting Arms show since our formation over three decades ago, making us arguably the longest-running arms show ever,” ani Topacio.
