MANILA, Philippines — May misyon si F2 Logistics import Lindsay Stalzer sa oras na makaharap nito ang da-ting team na Petron sa pagsisimula ng Philippine Superliga Grand Prix best-of-three finals showdown bukas (Martes) sa The Arena sa San Juan City.
Desidido si Stalzer na harangin ang tangka ng Blaze Spikers na ma-sweep ang season at makopo ang kampeonato.
Ngunit aminado itong matinding hamon ang kanilang haharapin bago maisakatuparan ang kanilang misyon.
“There’s an extra motivation because it’s against my former team, because they haven’t been beaten yet this season. Let’s see. It’s going to be a very interesting series,” ani Stalzer.
Bahagi si Stalzer ng Petron nang magkampeon ito noong 2018 edisyon ng Grand Prix.
Subalit nagtawid-bakod si Stalzer nang magtungo ito sa kampo ng Cargo Movers nga-yong taon.
“Actually, I was pretty confident that we could make it this far. But obviously, the hardest challenge is still ahead of us. Playing against Petron in the finals would be the biggest challenge for this team,” ani Stalzer.
Makakatuwang ni Stalzer ang kapwa Most Valuable Player awardee na si Maria Jose Perez ng Venezuela kasama sina local aces Aby Maraño, Majoy Baron, Ara Galang at Dawn Macandili.
Malaking hamon na naman kay reserve playmaker Alex Cabanos kung paano bibigyan ng magagandang sets ang kaniyang attackers partikular na sina Stalzer at Perez.
Inaasahang mag-lalatag ng solidong net defense ang Cargo Movers para masawata ang pagtatangka nina super imports Stephanie Niemer at Katherine Bell na siyang nagdala sa Blaze Spikers sa 17-0 rekord.
“This is the toughest competition for me. Obviously, our job is not yet done. It’s going to be a tough matchup on Tuesday,” ani Stalzer.
Bukod kina Niemer at Bell, magsisilbing tinik din sa daan ng Cargo Movers sina Petron local players Mika Reyes, Remy Palma at Aiza Maizo-Pontillas gayundin sina setter Rhea Dimaculangan at libero Denden Lazaro.
