P1.5M paglalabanan sa Bingo Bonanza National Badminton Open

MANILA, Philippines – Kabuuang P1.5 milyon ang paglalabanan ng mga pinakamahuhusay na Filipino badminton players sa Bingo Bonanza National Badminton Open sa Disyembre 11-14 sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

Ang mananalo sa singles event ay tatanggap ng P100,000 habang P120,000 ang makakamit ng babandera sa doubles.

“The best of the best will be here slugging it out in a very friendly environment,” sabi ni Negros Occidental Rep. Albee Benitez, ang Philippine Badminton Association (PBA) secretary-general, kahapon sa weekly forum na itinatagu-yod ng Shakey’s, Accel at Pagcor.

Idinagdag ni Benitez na nakatuon ang PBA sa pagdaraos ng malalaking national tournaments bukod pa sa mga bigating international events.

“When we host international tournaments, our players are normally eliminated after the first round and only the foreign players remain. It’s like we’re holding the tournament for them,” ani Benitez.

Nakasama ni Benitez sa PSA forum sina Al Alonte ng Bingo Bonanza, ang mga miyembro ng national team, si Indonesian coach Paulus Firman at sina players Paul Jefferson Vivas, Peter Gabriel Magnaye, Philip Escueta at Ronel Estanislao. (RC)
