Lakers walang balak sibakin si D’Antoni, wala ring ite-trade

Sinabi ni Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak na masaya ang team kay coach Mike D’Antoni at wala silang planong mag-trade.

Ang Lakers ay 22-26 at 11 1/2 games sa Pacific Division ngunit galing sila sa 98-97 panalo kontra sa Detroit Pistons noong Linggo.

“We’re very happy with Mike D’Antoni,” sabi ni Kupchak noong Linggo. “I think when he took the job I think he thought (point guard Steve) Nash might be out a week or two (with a fractured left leg). Not two months. Getting everybody on the same page took a little longer than expected. Not to say it’s been smooth sailing, that’s for sure.”

Sinabi rin ni Kupchak na hindi ite-trade ng team si Dwight Howard na nakuha nila noong offseason mula sa Orlando Magic. Si Howard ay nag-i-struggle dahil sa kanyang injury sa balikat.

“We will not make a trade,” aniya. “We will not trade Dwight Howard. We have no intention of ma-king a trade. It’s unlikely that we’ll make any trade with any of our principal players.”
