Marquez humiling ng rematch kay Viloria

MANILA, Philippines - Mula sa kanyang kabiguan kay Brian ‘The Hawaiian Punch’ Viloria noong Nobyembre ng 2012, isang rematch ang hiling ni Mexican Hernan ‘Tyson’ Marquez kontra sa Filipino unified world flyweight champion.

Sinabi ni Fernando Beltran, ang presidente ng Zanfer Promotions, na pipilitin nilang maitakda ang naturang rematch ni Marquez kay Viloria.

Ngunit kung magdesisyon naman ang 32-anyos na si Viloria na umakyat sa super flyweight division ay isa pang Filipino fighter ang posibleng makatapat ni Marquez.

Ito ay si Milan Melindo, ayon kay Beltran.

“We are going to pursue a rematch with Viloria in the second half of 2013,” ani Beltran. “But if Viloria decides to move up in weight to super flyweight, then Tyson will go after the vacant WBO title, against Filipino Milan Melindo.”

Tatlong beses pinabagsak ni Viloria si Marquez para agawin sa Mexican ang suot nitong World Boxing Association flyweight title noong Nobyembre 17, 2012 sa LA Sports Arena sa Los Angeles, California.

Kasalukuyang bitbit ni Viloria ang kanyang 32-3-0 win-loss-draw ring record kasama ang 19 knockouts, samantalang dala ng 24-anyos na si Marquez ang kanyang 34-3-0, 25 KOs card.

Nauna nang sinabi ni Beltran na plano niyang ilaban kay Viloria ang alaga rin niyang si Mexican light flyweight titlist Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzales.

Kung mapaplantsa ang laban kay Viloria, ang WBA at World Boxing Organization flyweight champion, aakyat sa nasabing weight class si Gonzales.

Tangan ng 25-anyos na si Gonzales, naghahari sa light flyweight class ng WBA, ang kanyang 34-0-0 (28 KOs) slate.
