Nag-viral sa social media si Darius the rat dahil sa kanyang artistic ability na makapagpinta.
“I had him in a weird time of my life where I was trying to figure out who I was as a person, and also where I should be going in life. He was my light in the darkness,” sabi ng kanyang owner na si Amalie Andersen, isang animation at digital arts student. Pagkatapos daw niyang turuan si Darius magpinta, sampung minuto lamang ay agad itong natuto. Gamit ang non-toxic watercolor paint, nilulublob ni Darius ang kanyang paa dito at saka maglalakad sa papel.
14-15 years old pa lamang daw siya ay mahilig na siyang mag-alaga ng daga. “I’ve discovered how great they are as pets on the internet. Rats were just beginning to become popular as pets, I think. After I had my first rat, I just kept on getting them. Rats don’t live very long, usually 2-3 years, so I’ve had 9 so far. Darius was one of them,” kuwento niya pa.
Ibang-iba raw si Darius sa mga dagang naalagaan niya dahil mabait daw ito at hindi pasaway. Mabilis din daw ito matutuo ng iba’t ibang tricks. “I got him in 2017, he was one of many rats in the litter. All the rats seemed amazing, but Darius was just too precious not to choose. He looked so kind and gentle, I instantly fell in love with him the moment I saw him.”
Patay na si Darius pero hanggang ngayon ay nakapagbibigay pa rin siya ng saya sa ibang tao sa pamamagitan ng social media.
