Health is wealth daw Gov. Vi pabor sa ginawa ni Angel sa Darna

Malaking isyu pa rin hanggang ngayon kung sino among their Kapamilya actresses ang pipiliin ng Star Cinema of ABS-CBN na maging replacement ni Angel Locsin sa pelikulang Darna.

As is common knowledge, Angel backed out from the project due to her spinal injury.

Isang desisyon daw ito ni Angel na inayunan ni Batangas Governor Vilma Santos, with whom Angel is now doing the movie, All of My Life, directed by Joyce Bernal.

As Governor Vi always said: Health is wealth.

As again, sabi ni Ate Vi, at least ay napatunayan na rin naman once ni Angel na pumapel bilang Darna. Yes, sa series ng GMA 7 of the iconic character, authored by the late Mars Ravelo.

Ate Vi, for herself, has played Darna four times: Lipad, Darna, Lipad; Darna and The Giants, Darna vs. The Planetwoman, at Darna at Ding.

And guess who played the role of Ding sa Darna at Ding?

Ang former child wonder, Niño Muhlach, na ama ng promising child actor na si Alonzo Muhlach.

Darna unang pinasikat ng ama ni FPJ

Bihirang mabanggit na ang first producer and director, too, ng first Darna movie was the late Fernando Poe, Sr., father ng King of Philippine Movies na si Fernando Poe, Jr.

The late FPJ, Sr. owned a movie firm, ang Royal Productions.

Si Rosa del Rosario ang gumanap sa pinakaunang role na Darna in 1951.

FPJ, Sr. did another Darna movie the following year, 1952,  Darna at Ang Babaing Lawin, with again Rosa playing Darna.

Isa sa mga highlight ng second Darna movie reportedly saw Rosa ‘‘flying’’ all over Quiapo and above, no less, than the Quiapo Church.

Sam nawala ang totoy image kay Jasmine

No doubt na malaki ang naitulong ng pagkaka-link ni Sam Concepcion kay Jasmine Curtis-Smith para maiba ang kanyang image mula sa pagiging teenage idol to a matured man and ideal lover boy.

Sayang at they are no more now. Although, both insist they are still friends.

What keeps Sam busy naman is his twice a week appearance with other celebrities in the impersonation show of ABS-CBN, Your Face Sounds Familiar.

He is also in the series, You’re My Home, co-starring him with Richard Gomez, Dawn Zulueta, JC de Vera, Assunta de Rossi, Jessy Mendiola, Jobelle Salvador and Tonton Gutierrez, among others.

Both Sam and Jasmine declared pareho silang loveless at the moment.
