Guess who prepared, Salve A., the invitation for Matteo Guidicelli’s birthday kahapon?

Walang iba kundi ang kanyang girlfriend na si Sarah Geronimo. Yes, the singer-actress.

Ayon sa mga nakakuha ng invitation to Matteo’s birthday, organized for him by Swatch, the time piece made in Switzerland which Matteo endorses, kasama sina Billy Crawford and Luis Manzano, Sarah drew a portrait of the actor.

Then on the portrait’s right side, Sarah signed ‘‘Mahal Ko, SG.’’

Si Matteo ang kauna-unahang boyfriend ni Sarah. She’s turning 28 in July.

No wonder that, according to Matteo, ‘‘wala na akong balak pakawalan pa ito (referring, of course, to Sarah).

Na-link si Matteo dati kay Maja Salvador, now the girlfriend of Gerald Anderson.

Equally as busy as Sarah, who finally has started shooting para sa pelikulang The Break-up Playlist, her first team-up with Piolo Pascual, Matteo, aside from the now airing Inday Bote, is doing a sport shows para sa sports channel ng ABS-CBN.

With her hair down, when she faces the TV cameras kasama sina Julius Babao at Ces Drillon, Karen Davila looks the ideal newscaster who delivers a particular news item with utmost credibility and clarity.

Sila ang tatlong anchor ng Bandila, the newscast aired weekdays sa ABS-CBN.

Bandila is actually not the only program Karen handles in the Kapamilya channel. She has a talk program with comedienne K Brosas at isang lawyer na si Claire Castro na 3-in-1. Sa ANC, meron pa rin siyang hinu-host na show.

May radio program din siya with Vic Lima on DZMM. Yes, aired daily din, tuwing hapon.

Add to this the fact that she is, too, a fulltime mother to her two sons with TV5 news executive, DJ Sta. Ana.

Obviously, though, ‘di nakalilimutan ni Karen that she is still a woman, who needs to look good, in her case, not just sa kanyang mga TV audiences, kung hindi para sa kanyang asawa rin. Not to say, dalawang anak.

Well, Karen, keep up the good work, but not at the expense of how you look.

Maraming TV newscaster at reporter mukhang hindi mga naligo bago mag-on cam

Sabi nga ng isang colleague namin sa pagiging entertainment columnist and reporting, marami sa mga TV newscaster and news reporters ang wari mo’y nakalilimot that they owe it to their audience to look good. Yes, on TV.

Close on the heels, perhaps of having covered a news assignment, he/she forgets to get a glance of himself/herself sa salamin, bago humarap ng ka­mera.

Hence, wari mo, kung lalaki, kagigising lang niya. At kung babae naman kagagaling sa paglalaba. O, ‘di kaya, sa paglilinis ng bahay.

Of course, these are jokes only. But puwede ring totoo, ‘di ba, Salve?
