Will it be a ‘war’’ for supreme stardom between Kapuso talent and Kapamilya star, Janine Gutierrez and Liza Soberano ngayong 2015?

Well both, we have to admit, are possessed of the ‘assets’ needed, kumbaga, for one na nag-a-aspire to make it big in showbiz.

Foremost nga ay ang pagiging born of showbiz royalty ni Janine, as her parents are Lotlot de Leon and Ramon Christopher.

Add to this, the fact na ang grandparents niya on her Mom Lotlot’s side are Nora Aunor and Christopher de Leon and on her Dad’s side naman, Pilita Corrales and Eddie Gutierrez.

Bagama’t both are in their respective ways possessed of magkaibang beauty and personality, isang malaking pagkakaiba nila ay ang edad. Not to say, educational attainment.

Janine is 25 and an Ateneo graduate in International Studies. Katu-turn 17 lamang ni Liza and will soon enter college next school year.

Like Janine, Liza is determined to finish a college course. And not just because wish ito para sa kanya ng kanyang amang isang Pilipino (Amerikana naman ang kanyang ina), kundi naniniwala siyang dapat lang magkaroon siya ng college degree.

Where their lovelife is concerned, since 25 na si Janine, it’s not surprising if ang romance na kasalukuyang nagaganap sa kanila ng kanyang perennial na ka-love team, si Elmo Magalona is both for real and reel.

Elmo, like Janine, is himself born of showbiz royalty. His Dad is the late popular rapper-TV host, cum occasional actor, Francis Magalona.

His grandparents on his Dad’s side, Tita Duran and Pancho Magalona, now both deceased na nung kanilang kapanahunan ay  most popular love team of their generation.

Ang ate naman nitong si Maxene Magalona, is a Kapamilya star like Liza.

Janine and Elmo are currently teamed up in GMA-7’s current high rating and trending series, More Than Words.

Liza’s team-up on the other hand with Enrique Gil, based lalo on the ratings of their ongoing series, Forevermore is maituturing na unprecedented.

No doubt that Star Cinema, ABS-CBN’s sister film firm and where both Liza and Enrique are currently under contract to, is set to do a film na sila ang bida.

Reportedly titled The Bet, it is actually the second movie team-up nina Enrique at Liza. Nagkasama na sila So It’s You, co-starring, Bea Alonzo at Dingdong Dantes.

Forevermore is a production of Star Creatives TV, headed by Malou who is likewise, Business Unit head, ABS CBN.

‘‘Quen (Enrique) and I are hoping na si Direk Cathy (Garcia-Molina), who directs Forevermore, ang mag-direk din sana ng aming first lead roles movie.’’

‘‘Advise nila sa akin is to fall in love when I’m 25.’’

Enrique, we heard, is only 19.

While Mickey plays a mom to a teenager in sa isang programa, Empress is third party sa isang romantic series ng GMA-7, which title escapes us at the moment.
