Given the chance, gusto rin ni Anne Curtis na gumanap na lesbian basta ba sobrang ganda ng story ng film na tipong ala-Blue is the Warmest Colour ng CANNES Film Festival.
Sobrang nagandahan daw siya sa nasabing film, to the point na ni-research pa niya kung totoong lesbians ang mga bida.
“Grabe ‘yun, ‘di ba? That’s why they were awarded, as in ganu’n ka-believable na tipong you’re going to research if they really are lesbians. Ni-research ko, hindi, eh.”
Pero kaya niya talagang gampanan ang ganun’g klaseng role?
“If the role and the script is talagang. . .’yung binabasa mo pa lang, (magugulat ka sa ganda), game,” she said.
Kaya rin niya ang makipaghalikan sa kapwa babae?
“For me, it’s not about that, eh. That’s why, when you watch the film, you don’t even think about it as a lesbian film. Kasi lalo na sa ending, mapi-feel mo talaga ang love, ‘di ba?”
Pero hindi raw pwede rito sa ‘Pinas ang ganun’g klaseng film at talagang sa international market lang.
“’Yun na nga ang sinasabi ko, sometimes there are limitations because of the country we live in, ‘di ba? Parang the audience isn’t ready for those kind of films just yet.
“Pero if ever it happens and there’s a festival that I can join and I’m given that script, why not, ‘di ba? I’m game, I mean, if it adds to versatility and it’s something I’ve never ever done before, I’d be game. Hindi naman siguro ako maiilang, but I know there will be a lot of people who’ll have something to say about it.”
Sino’ng gusto niyang makasamang kapwa-babae, si Solenn Heusaff?
“Oh my Gosh, nakaka-incest naman ‘yun,” tumatawang say ni Anne, ‘coz as we all know, future sister-in-law niya si Solenn.
Hindi pa raw niya napag-isipan kung sino ang gusto niyang makarelasyon or maka-kissing scene na kapwa babae sa ganun’g klaseng film pero kung tinanggap daw niya, hindi na siya magiging choosy sa partner.
“Wala naman sa ganu’n, choosy ka pa ba, gagawin mo nga, eh? For me, magiging choosy ako sa script siguro kung anon’g klaseng story siya,” say ng bida ng The Gifted with Cristine Reyes and Sam Milby na showing na sa Sept. 3.
