Yesterday, Friday, Dec. 21, umalis ang mag-anak na Alcasid, meaning sina Ogie, Regine Velasquez, and their son Nate, for Australia, where they will be spending their Christmas with Ogie’s two children with former wife, Michelle van Eimereen, Leila and Sarah.
The two girls live with their mom who is herself married now in Australia.
In a presscon before their departure, Regine revealed they will be back Dec. 30 because they want to spend the New Year in the country. Besides, she has to prepare for her repeat concert, also at The Arena in Pasay City, on Jan. 5.
As we all know, Regine held a concert last month, billed as Silver, in celebration of her 25th year in showbusiness.
Nagkaroon nga lang ng aberya ang concert when her voice faltered dahil sa viral infection she was suffering at that time.
Wala raw mababago sa concert, as planned, except of course, na may mga panibagong guest performers na papasok because a few of those who appeared sa first concert tulad, halimbawa, ni Lani Misalucha, ay may iba nang commitment.
Rowell Santiago will still direct the show. And, most likely, Rowell will make sure that Regine retains her original repertoire. Ang Asia’s Songbird kasi ang mismong namili ng mga song number that she plans to sing.
Regine is making sure as well na wala nang aberyang mangyayari sa part two ng concert niya because they are doing the same preparations naman when they organized the first one.
The sponsors of the concert, according to publicist Jun Lalin, include PLDT MyDSL, Belo Medical Group, Bench, Smart, Victoria Court, and Cravings.
As usual, Regine’s younger sister, Cacai Mitra, will produce Silver 2.
Kris pinagbibigyan lang TALAGA sina AiAi at Vice Ganda
Congratulations to Sisterakas stars AiAi delas Alas, Vice Ganda, at Kris Aquino sa B grade from the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB). Producer of the movie is Star Cinema at ang direksiyon naman ay kay Wenn Deramas.
According to one CEB member na nakapanood ng Sisterakas, entertaining nga raw ang movie. All three stars deliver. Although, halata na ‘‘pinagbibigyan’’ talaga ni Kris na mag-shine more than her sina AiAi at Vice.
Kung sabagay, sa presscon for Sisterakas, Kris specified na kung may talagang dapat na ‘‘umangkin’’ sa movie, ito ay sina AiAi at Vice.
‘‘Among us three, they are the true comedians. And the film was really meant for them,’’ pahayag ni Kris.
Kung sabagay, although originally Sisterakas was meant for her and Vice Ganda, may kaunting revision yatang ginawa si Direk Wenn.
Kaya, in the movie, sina AiAi at Vice ang gumanap na ‘‘sisters.’’
Atty. Acosta, pinanindigan ang pagiging darling ng press
Naku, nakaka-touch ang pagpapahalaga nang ginagawa sa tuwina ni Atty. Persida Acosta, head of the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) sa entertainment press lalo na sa officers and members ng Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC).
No wonder, that this year alone, she got several awards as Darling of the Press from the many award-giving body, specifically the PMPC and the FAMAS.
Would you believe that, at the Christmas party, she tendered for the PMPC group at her office at the PAO, ang sagot niya sa tanong ng isang miyembro, kung ano ang wish niya this Christmas: ‘‘I wish that the PMPC will be as successful as this year sa kanilang writing profession while, at the same time, maipagpapatuloy nila ang kanilang numerous advocacies na isa sa kanilang goal bilang asosasyon.’’
