Quezon City, San Juan schools suspend classes amid rising flu cases
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Science High School main campus in Quezon City and the San Juan Science High School suspended face-to-face classes yesterday due to rising flu cases.
The Philippine Science High School said alternative learning modes would be implemented and faculty members would adopt work-from-home arrangement until today amid increasing cases of influenza-like illnesses.
The San Juan Science High School implemented online classes yesterday.
The class suspension allowed the school to conduct disinfection and sanitation.
“Face-to-face classes will resume on Oct. 20, except for students who are still experiencing flu-like symptoms,” San Juan Science High School said on Facebook.
Parents are requested not to send their children to school if they manifest fever, cough or colds.
