MANILA, Philippines — Ang back-to-back championship ang hangad ni resident import Justin Brownlee at ng Barangay Ginebra sa parating na Season 50 PBA Governors Cup.

Ito ay matapos angkinin ni Brownlee at ng Gin Kings ang korona ng nakaraang PBA Commissioner’s Cup laban kay 6-foot-9 balik-import Chris McCullough at sa TNT Tropang 5G.

Ang PBA Governors Cup ay may height limit na 6’6 na sakto kay Brownlee.

“We see Justin every day. We see how much he works. You know, he hasn’t changed at all from the age of 38 to 25. He still does the same work every day, all the time, shows up at every practice, never asked him to sit out. He does all the work,” ani Ginebra coach Tim Cone kay Brownlee.

Tinulungan ni Brownlee ang Gin Kings sa paghahari sa PBA Governors Cup noong 2016, 2017, 2019 at 2021.

Didribol ang season-ending conference sa Hul­yo 10 tampok ang pag­baba­lik ng guest team Macau Black Knights.

Pinagharian ng TNT ang torneo noong nakaraang taon sa likod ni import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson na papalitan ngayon ni Darius Days, isang undrafted pla­yer noong 2022 NBA Draft.

Nahugot naman ng San Miguel si George King na dating naglaro sa Blackwater, habang muling isusuot ni Aaron Fuller ang uniporme ng Rain or Shine kagaya ni DeQuan Jones ng NLEX.

Bagong salta sina KJ Buffen ng Magnolia, BJ Johnson ng Phoenix at Kentrell Barkley ng Blackwater.
