CABC 8th Corporate Cup fires off today

CEBU, Philippines — The eighth edition of the annual Corporate Cup of the Cebu Architects Basketball Club (CABC) will kick off today (Sunday, May 31) at the Game Changer Sports Facility along Hernan Cortes Street in Barangay Banilad, Mandaue City.

Before the games, a simple opening ceremony will take place starting at 1 p.m., as announced by the organizers led by Oliver Tan and Paolo Alberto during a press conference yesterday at Bai Hotel.

A total of eight teams will slug it out for the coveted crown of the four-month tilt.

These are the SR & T Industrial Supply, Boysen, Modern Windows, Landlite, Davies, Corr Chem, EZ Pavers, and PDS/Elite Athletics.

They will be a single round robin in the elimination.

The top four will enjoy a twice-to-beat advantage over the lower ranked opponents in the quarterfinals.

The winners will advance to the semifinals and then to the championship, which are both a best-of-three series. — (FREEMAN)
