Tenorio pinalitan ni Sauler sa Gilas Youth
MANILA, Philippines — Pinalitan ni Magnolia assistant coach Juno Sauler si LA Tenorio bilang bagong head coach ng Gilas Pilipinas Youth Men’s team.
Ito ang inihayag ng Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) kung saan magiging team adviser si Tenorio, head coach ng Hotshots, ng Batang Gilas.
“The SBP welcomes coach Juno into the Gilas Pilipinas Youth Men’s team and thank coach LA Tenorio for his stint as head coach,” wika ni SBP president Al Panlilio.
May higit na 30 taong eksperyensa si Sauler sa kanyang basketball coaching career mula sa youth, high school, collegiate hanggang sa professional levels.
“Coach Juno brings a wealth of experience and deep connections nationwide that will help him put together the best team possible,” dagdag ni Panlilio kay Sauler na may limang PBA championships bilang assistant coach.
May apat din siyang UAAP titles bilang head coach. Tatlo sa women’s at isa sa men’s division.
Bukod sa pagiging assistant ni Tenorio sa Magnolia sa PBA ay assistant coach si Sauler ni head coach Pido Jarencio sa University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers sa UAAP.
Ihahanda ni Sauler ang Batang Gilas para sa darating na 2026 SEABA Under-18 Championship.
Ang top two finishers mula sa SEABA ang papasok sa FIBA Under-18 Asia Cup at ang top four teams ang maglalaro sa 2027 FIBA Basketball Under-19 World Cup.
