Ito ay dahil sa pagbabalik nina Sisi Rondina ng Choco Mucho at Bernadeth Pons ng Creamline sa beach volleyball matapos ang dalawang taong pag­lalaro ng indoor sa Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

MANILA, Philippines — Muling mabubuo ang ‘SiPons’ beach volleyball tandem sa 2025 Southeast Asian Games sa Disyembre sa Thailand.

Ito ay dahil sa pagbabalik nina Sisi Rondina ng Choco Mucho at Bernadeth Pons ng Creamline sa beach volleyball matapos ang dalawang taong pag­lalaro ng indoor sa Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

Gusto kasing mabigyan ulit nina Rondina at Pons ng medalya ang Pilipinas matapos mabigong makapasok sa semifinal round ng 2023 Cambodia SEA Games.

“We promised and I promised na nu’ng 2023, kailangan natin maka-podium ulit. Promise ko ‘yun, so ifu-fulfill lang namin talaga,” wika ng 5-foot-6 at 28-anyos na si Rondina.

Ito rin ang hangad ng 28-anyos na si Pons.

“Parang doon pa lang talaga, gusto na namin talaga na bumawi sa dara­ting na SEA Games, so iyon iyong bakit gusto pa namin ulit maglaro,” sabi ng reigning Reinforced Confe­rence MVP.

Bukod sa back-to-back bronze medals noong 2019 at 2021 (idinaos noong 2022) SEA Games ay humataw din ng gold ang tambalang ‘SiPons’ sa 2022 Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Subic Bay Future leg.

“After this conference (PVL All-Filipino) mag-start na rin kami ng training sa beach kasi marami rin ka­sing mga tournament na gusto ng coach namin na masalihan na­min bago ‘yung SEA Games.” dagdag ng 28-anyos na si Pons.
