Jarond Mesina mihimo'g impresyon sa iyang super sporting debut

CEBU, Philippines —  Ang Sugbuanong race car driver nga si Jarond Mesina mihimo og impresyon atol sa iyang debut sa super sporting class sa Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup 2025 didto sa Clark International Speedway sa Mabalacat, Pampanga ning bag-ohay pa lamang.

Ubos sa kaugalingon niyang Dash Racing team, ang 22-anyos nga si Mesina mapasigarbuhon nga naka-podium sa malisud nga kategoriya atol sa Round 1 sa tulo ka leg nga serye.

"Coming into the race, I do not know what to expect as this was the first time testing the super sporting car and the SXR tires," dason pa ni Mesina.

"It was really a struggle to find the right way to drive these tires and to find the set up that fits me in the car but with the help of Milo Rivera of Era Autosport and Edgen Dy-Liacco of Edgesport, I was able to pull it off," dugang pa          niya.

Sa Sprint Race 1, si Mesina mitapos sa ikaupat nga dapit apan na-promote siya sa ikatulong puwesto human napahamtangan og penalty ang lain driver.

Wala siya makasugod sa Race 2 kay nabuok ang ehe sa iyang sakyanan aton sa paglusad niini apan nakumpleto niya ang ikatulo ug katapusang endurance race bisan og nagkaproblema siya sa iyang transmisyon sa pinal nga 10 minutos.

"Though I finished last, I knew I had the pace. Overall, I was happy with my performance. Just had one podium but made a mark in the TGR Philippine Cup," paambit pa ni Mesina.

"I would like to thank Milo and Edgen for giving me a perfect car because without them, I wouldn’t have gotten the pace I have. Thank you also to my manager, Carlo Suarez, and for my family for the constant support."

Sa Round 2 sunod bulan, si Mesina nagplano nga ipadayon ang maanindot niyang salida sa buena manong lumba.

"We seem like we are going into the right path and have the chemistry together with the team to make the push for the win," kanayon pa ni Mesina. "We will be going back to the drawing board with the team as it is a street race, we will plan how we are gonna attack this new challenge as it is something new not just for me but for everyone else."
