CESAFI table tennis: UC Webmasters dominante gihapong puwersa

CEBU, Philippines — Ang University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters usa ka dominanteng puwersa sa table tennis sukad sa pagkahimugso sa Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) niadtong tuig 2000.

Sa miaging 24 ka tuig, namintinar sa UC ang madaogon nilang tradisyon human gipakyaw sa Webmasters ang tanang upat ka mga titulo sa CESAFI Season 24 table tennis tournament didto sa Benedicto College (BC)-Cebu City Campus gym niadtong weekend.

Luyo sa paningkamot nilang Andrie Caballes, Kent Edwin Abellanosa, Rafael David Misa,  Levhin Villanueva ug Patrick Ladera, ang Webmasters mibuntog sa University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) aron paglugwa nga kampiyon sa men's college division.

Sa habig sa women's, ang UC nga gipangulohan nilang Mikylla Therese Dinauanao, Allana Felize Salar, Sheramie Damuag, Kristienne Kaye Alicaya ug Leah Agbon mipukan sa University of San Carlos (USC) aron sakmiton ang korona.

Impresibo sab ang mga pambato sa UC sa high school dayon na ngadto sa pagkabkab og laing duha ka bulawan.

Sila si Melanie Galeon, Ayesha Caballes, Miguela Honoridez, Christianne Gelbolingo ug Hadley Go miaswat sa UC ngadto sa kadaogan batok sa USC-Basic Education sa finals aron pagbayaw kanilang hara sa girls class.

Ang UC nanghawod sab sa boys category human gipaluhod ang USC-BED, salamat sa maanindot nga salida nilang Gabriel David Misa,  Joaquin Enzo Holgado, Arian Caballes, Clint Stephen Maquira, ug Marc Damuel Letigio.

"Dedication to train, school’s support, and prayers - these are the key ingredients to our success," matud pa ni UC Athletic Director Jessica Jawad-Honoridez, nga usa sab ka tinamod nga table tennis coach.

"I thank Atty. Gus Go and Ms. Candice Gotianuy for their continued support and trust in the department’s sports programs particularly in table tennis," dugang pa ni Honoridez.

"I thank the parents too for the love and support to their children and believing in UC academically and 'pingpongly'. To our dedicated and passionate coaches, daghang salamat! Congratulations to the players, you all deserved to be called champions."
