Fil-Canadian libero idinagdag ng Creamline

MANILA, Philippines — Sa kabuuang 47 aplikante ay isa lamang ang pinili ng Creamline sa kauna-unahang Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Rookie Draft.

Hinirang ng Cool Smashers si Fil-Canadian Aleiah Torres ng Brock University bilang No. 12 overall pick para makasama sina team captain Alyssa Valdez, Jema Galanza, Tots Carlos, Michele Gumabao, Bea De Leon at Kyle Negrito.

“I’m very happy and grateful that Creamline chose me,” wika ni Torres na ang pamilya ay tubong Cavite at Tarlac. “Being able to play in the Philippines is super special for me since I have a lot of family here.”

Dadalhin ng 22-anyos na libero sa Cool Smashers ni coach Sherwin Meneses ang kanyang mataas na volleyball IQ at leadership skills kapalitan nina Denden Revilla at Kyla Atienza.

“I think it’s just a great opportunity to be able to be a part of this team and be able to learn from other people who have been in winning situations, so hopefully, I can bring my talent, my skills to their team and hopefully add to their winning streak,” ani Torres.

Nagmula ang Creamline sa pagrereyna sa nakaraang 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference laban sa sister team na Choco Mucho.

Masusukatan ang mga rookies sa darating na Reinforced Conference na magbubukas sa Hulyo 16 sa Philsports Arena sa Pasig City.
