MANILA, Philippines — Kumpleto na ang mga tropang sasabak sa inaaba­ngang Pilipinas Super League (PSL) National Finals.

Ito ay matapos makakuha ng tiket ang limang kopo­nan sa Visayas Regional Finals sa qualifying tournament para sa kauna-unahang Global Championship Challenge.

Apat na koponan mula sa Cebu at isa galing sa Ormoc ang uma­bante sa National Finals na nakatakda sa Hulyo 7 hanggang 11 sa Victoria Sports sa Quezon City.

Naghari sa kanilang mga dibisyon ang Cebu-Kha­lifa (Born 2004), Cebu-USPF (Born 2008) at Cebu-GN Splasher (Born 2006).

Dahil naman sa paparating na 2024 Palarong Pam­bansa ay hindi makakalaro ang Cebu Born 2006 champion team sa PSL National Finals.

Nakapasok din sa torneo ang mga runner-ups na Ce­bu-Shirillin/Atty. Dico (Born 2004), Ormoc-OCCCI (Born 2008) at Cebu-USJR (Born 2006).

Makakasama nila ang mga naunang qualifiers at ang top two placers sa mga regional events sa Mindanao, Natioal Capital Region, Luzon at Visayas.

Kinuha ni PSL president Cris Bautista si PBA Hall of Famer Allan Caidic bilang Commissioner kasunod ang kanyang dating Presto teammate na si Gerry Esplana na hinirang namang deputy commissioner.

“We limited it to eight teams per region to compete in the Regional Finals,” wika ni ni Caidic. “There were pro­vinces which underwent qualifying events, iyong iba na­man bumuo na lang ng selection nila to represent the province in the Regional Finals.”

Ang mga kinuhang deputy commissioners para sa mga regions ay sina Jayvee Gayoso (Luzon), Dondon Hontiveros (Vi­sayas) at PJ Simon (Mindanao).
