Pinoy sports icon bisita sa BP at PNG opening
MANILA, Philippines — Dadalo ang mga le-gendary Pinoy sports icons sa opening ceremonies ng 2023 Batang Pinoy (BP) at Philippine National Games (PNG) sa Linggo sa Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Kabilang sa mga ito sina 2020 Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz at bronze medalist Eumir Felix Marcial na parehong produkto ng BP at PNG.
Bibisita rin sina top gymnast at Olympian Carlos Edriel Yulo kasama ang kanyang kapatid na si Karl Eldrew na kumuha ng 12 gold at dalawang silver medals noong 2018 at 2019 editions ng Batang Pinoy.
“We are honored and thrilled to announce that some of the most iconic names in Philippine sports history will be gracing the opening ceremonies of the games,” wika ni PSC Chairman Richard Bachmann.
Magiging bahagi rin ng seremonya sina tennis sensation Alex Eala, 2023 Asian Para Games gold medalist Jerrold Mangliwan, para swimming standout Angel Mae Otom at bowling legend PSC Commissioner Olivia “Bong” Coo.
“Their presence serves as a testament to the rich legacy of sports in our nation and will undoubtedly inspire the next generation of athletes participating in these games,” dagdag ni Bachmann.
