MANILA, Philippines — Nagparamdam agad ng lakas si Philippine natio­nal junior record holder Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh matapos sumikwat ng gold medal sa pagsisimula ng Asia Pacific Activities Conference (APAC) Swimming Championships sa Seoul Foreign School sa Seoul, South Korea.

Inilabas ni Mojdeh ang bangis para angkinin ang ginto sa girls’ 200m Indivi­dual Medley sa itinalang da­lawang minuto at 22.05 segundo.

“It’s my first time compe­ting in APAC and I am happy that I improved again my times.  I am thankful to see familiar faces here. Even in this cold weather the APAC vibe is full of warmth,” ani Mojdeh.

Inilampaso ng Brent In­­ternational School ace swimmer sina Hong Kong International School tankes Annika Chu na nagtala ng malayong 2:24.03 para sa pilak at Angelina Ching Nga So na may 1:28.94 para sa tanso.

Nakahirit pa si Mojdeh ng tanso sa girls’ 100m freestyle sa nairehistrong isang minuto at 0.90 segundo sa torneong nilahukan ng iba’t ibang bansa kabilang na ang China, Canada at host South Korea,

Nanguna sa naturang event si Audrey Sandeen ng Hong Kong na may 59.84 segundo, habang pumangalawa ang katropa niyang si Claire Robertson na may 1:00.87.

“I get to enjoy swimming here in Korea.They have some fast swimmers  and It’s nice to compete with them. Thanks to Brent Aqualions Swim Team and Coach Monching Coach Cathy and coach Len and my teammates. I had a fun time here. I look forward to next year,” ani Mojdeh.

Pinangunahan din ni Mojdeh ang Bren quartet sa pagkopo ng tanso sa girls’ 200m medley relay.

Kasama ni Mojdeh sina Kirsten Tan, Jira Hedeager at Natalia Javier sa paglilista ng 2:25.63 para angkinin ang ikatlong puwesto.
