OCCCI D-League gilusad

Ang mga opisyal sa OCCCI nga gipangulohan nilang chief operations officer Mizpah Aira Taala, finance head Arvin Villena, ug administrative officer Arlex Doroja kauban ang mga sakop sa OCCCI Sheer Masters maoy nangu sa pormal nga paglusad sa dalaygon nilang programa niadtong Biyernes sa ilang buhatan dinhi sa Sugbo nga anaa mahimutang sa Sitio Kalmar, Barangay Lawaan I, dakbayan sa Talisay.

Giduyogan sila nilang commissioner Manuel Mislang  Jr. ug tournament coordinator Van Halen Parmis.

"We want to give the young aspiring players an opportunity to showcase their talents and be discovered and hopefully reach the national level in the future," matud pa ni Mizpah. "We also endeavor to strengthen the sports program of schools in Leyte."

Nahimugso niadtong 1978, ang sports kabahin sa mga mahinungdanon misyon sa OCCCI.

"This entails a lot of responsibility on our part but sports is really the passion of OCCCI. We want to contribute something big to the community and that is one of our goals in putting up this league," dason pa ni Villena.

"Someday, some of the players that we help develop will make it to the big leagues and we will be proud knowing that somehow we are part of their journey," dugang pa ni Villena.

Nakatatak na gyud sa OCCCI ang paugnat sa kusog.

Testamento niini, si Doroja nakanayon nga nalatid kini sa pangan sa ilang team nga Sheer Masters.

"Sheer is actually an acronym for our different advocacies which is Sports, Health, Education, Environment, and Resiliency. We are pioneering in this field (sports) among other cooperatives in the country," batbat pa ni Doroja.

Ang unang OCCCI D-League nga mosikad sa ikatulong semana sa Disiembre naglangkob og elementary, high school, ug college divisions.

Ang mga duwa dungan nga ipahigayon sa managlahing binyu sa Ormoc, Tacloban, Biliran, ug Southern Leyte nga lagmit adto sa Maasin. Modagan kini sud sa usa ka bulan ubos sa superbisyon ni  Mislang.

"We will start just small. From there, we will learn and look at all the things we need to improve with hopes of making it grow in the coming years," padayag pa ni Mislang.

Mao kini ang panghinaut sa OCCCI.

"What we have in mind is a long-term goal. That is why we are praying for the success of our first ever season because the future of the league depends highly on it," panapos pa ni Villena.
