Sa pagbabalik ng pba 45th season

MANILA, Philippines — Noong nakaraang Sa­bado ay binuksan ng Chinese Super League (CSL) ang kanilang season habang sa Hulyo 30 naman ang restart season ng National Basketball Association (NBA).

Sinabi ni Barangay Ginebra head coach Tim Cone na disiplina ang susi para makaiwas ang mga PBA players sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

“I think this is a great learning tool for the pla­yers to think more beyond their selves, looking at the big picture, remembering what this is all about,” wika ni Cone sa programang The Huddle sa PBA Rush. “The key word is discipline and everybody’s got to be disciplined and thinking about the next person. All for one, one for all.”

Inilagay ng CSL ang 16 teams sa dalawang venues kung saan sila maglalaro ng higit sa dalawang buwan.

Kasalukuyan namang nasa ‘bubble’ ang 22 koponan ng NBA sa Walt Disney World Complex sa Orlando, Florida na siya ngayong epicenter ng COVID-19 pandemic sa United States.

“We need to be patient at these times, make sure we take care of one another, follow all the protocols with discipline,” sabi ni NLEX coach Yeng Guiao.

Inaprubahan ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) ang inilatag na health at safety protocols ng PBA para sa kanilang pagba­balik-ensayo at umaa­sang maipagpapatuloy ang naudlot na 2020 PBA Phi­lippine Cup sa Setyembre o Oktubre.

Plano ni PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial na gamitin ang ‘closed circuit’ bubble para sa mga pla­yers ng 12 koponan.

“This is not going to be easy, guys. You’re talking about a lot of people who are going to be disciplined and stay within that bubble,” ani naman ni Meralco mentor Norman Black.
