CEBU, Philippines — Ang grassroots sports progam sa Sisters of Mary School Boystown ug Girlstown nakaangkon og dugang suporta gumikan sa pag-abot sa Zuellig Pharma Corporation.

Isip pasiunang nilang dalit, ang Zuellig Pharma, ang tiggama sa Propan multivitamins, mipahigayon og Proppee's Summer Basketball Clinic nga misikad niadtong Huwebes didto sa SMS-Boystown Campus sa Barangay Tungkop, Minglanilla.

Miabot ngadto sa 200 ka batan-ong basketbolista  ang nisalmot sa lima ka adlaw nga clinic nga mahuman karong Mayo 27.

"I am a believer of grassroots sports development but what I've seen here at Boystown is something different. I did not expect this," matud pa ni Zuellig Pharma Corp. senior marketing manager Sherwin Arceo. "Honestly, I'm pleasantly surprised and overwhelmed not much by the huge turnout of participants but by the kind of environment they have here."

"I think we can we can make this bigger in the future," dugang pa ni Arceo.

Gibutyag ni Sisters of Mary athletic director Van Halen Parmis nga ang pipila ka mga ginikanan sa mga players sa Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Magis Eagles ug manggihatagon nga indibidwal sa Well Family Midwife Clinic mi-sponsor og 100 ka mga bata aron mosalmot sa ilang training camp.

"Because of their help, some out of school youths and poor kids were able to join in our clinic for free," matud pa ni Parmis.  Si Parmis nagkanayon nga ang sunod nilang plano mao ang pagkulit og Guinness World Record alang sa labing dako nga 3x3 event sa usa lamang ka tunghaan karong Oktubre.

"In partnership with Zuellig Pharma, we aim to set a world record for the biggest 3x3 tournament by a school this October. I checked the Guinness record and no one has ever done that. Combining the forces of Boystown and Girlstown with the SMS-Cavite Campus, I believe we can easily achieve that feat," matud pang Parmis.
