Metafit Tri andam na sa Ironman

CEBU, Philippines — Andam ug nagpanikad na ang mga sakop sa Air Spencer-Metafit Tri Team  nga mopakita'g aksiyon sa Regent Aguila Ironman 70.3 Philippines Asia-Pacific Championship karong Agosto 5 didto sa Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa sa Dakbayan sa Lapu-Lapu.

"Complete and not compete. That has always been our battlecry," matud pa ni Metafit founder ug Cebuano fitness ambassador Alan G. Choachuy. "Our main goal really is to finish the race. If one of us will make it to the podium, then it's a bonus."

Sukad sila misalmot sa Ironman niadtong 2012, ang Metafit Tri nagkadako matag labay sa katuigan.

Sa umaabot nga lumba, ang Metafit mopadala og 20 ka mga atleta. Sagad hinuon kanila mobanat sa relay event.

Gawas ni Choachuy, ang Metafit Tri Team gilangkuban nilang Fritz ug Zusette Co, Romulo Rosell, Fr. Clement Covacho sa France, Lemuel Co, Pimco Pimentel, Marc Demoral, Maui Recla, Bernard Palermo, Jinggoy ug Joy Bascug, PJ ug Dona Canedo, Catherine Acuña, Cheryl Tagra, Jodette Romaguera, Sarah Lucero ug Golda Cutanda.

"Some of them are aiming to improve their personal best but overall as team, we will try to maintain our 100 percent finish rate. I'm proud to say that since we first took part in the Ironman seven years ago, none of us had a DNF (did not finish) mark," sumala pa ni Choachuy.

Ning tuiga, ang Metafit nakaangkon og dugang kadasig sa ilang kampanya gumikan sa suporta sa Air Spencer, Isuzu ug Altra running shoes.

"Although their products are not involved in sports, Air Spencer is committed to supporting the triathlon community, not only the athletes but also in backing up local races in Cebu," dugang pa ni Metafit team captain Fritz Co. (BANAT NEWS)
