Philspada pupuntirya pa ng 4 na tiket sa Rio
MANILA, Philippines – Hihingi ang Philippine Sports Association for the Differently-Abled (Philspada) ng apat na Bipartite Commission Invitation slots sa athletics at para-triathlon para madagdagan ang three-member delegation sa 2016 Paralympics sa Rio de Janeiro.
Umaasa si Philspada-NPC Philippines executive director Dennis Esta na pagbibigyan ng International Paralympic Committee at ng mga International Sports Federations ang kanilang kahilingan na mapaglaro sina tracksters Andy Avellana, Jerrold Mangliwan at Marites Burce at paratriathlete Sixto Bucay sa Sept. 7-18 Games.
Ang mga kumpirmado nang lalahok sa Rio Paralympics ay sina table tennis ace Josephine Medina, swimmer Ernie Gawilan at veteran powerlifter Adeline Dumapong-Ancheta.
“We already submitted a request to the Bipartite (commission); hopefully they will grant it,” sabi ni Esta.
Idinagdag ni Esta na humiling din sila ng tiket para kay thrower Marites Burce, naging bahagi ng 2012 Paralympics team sa London.
“Philspada’s main focus now is on the Rio campaign, especially on those who already qualified and those who are waiting for confirmation,” ani Esta.
