RCadayona - Pilipino Star Ngayon

“We played a D-League team and we won via buzzer beater. And I told them after the game, you know there’s something special about this team,” wika ni Altamirano. “This team doesn’t know how to give up, they refuse to lose.”

“And I think that’s the character of this team. There’s unity and a holistic spirit in them. They really love playing for each other,” dagdag pa ng mentor.

“For all the players na nagdaan sa NU na nari-ridicule sila, pinagtatawanan sila dati, ‘yung frustration nila of not winning, lahat ng paghihirap nila, naiisip namin ‘yun ngayon.”

“I’m so happy. We went through a lot. In the beginning, it looked like we will not make it. But we worked hard on defense and stayed humble,” wika ng 6-foot-7 na si Aroga na nakatuwang sina Gelo Allolino, Jeth Troy Rosario at Glenn Khobuntin.

“It’s a breakthrough. I hope this is just the start for NU.  The culture and winning tradition is there. Hopefully, it will follow,” wika ni Altamirano.
