Handa na ang lahat sa NBTC All-Star Game
MANILA, Philippines - Ipapakita nina San Beda star Arvin Tolentino, Hubert Cani at John Paul Cauilan ng National University at Mohammad Salim ng Chiang Kai Shek College ang kanilang mga talento sa Seaoil National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) All-Star Game.
“Everything is set,†sabi kahapon ni NBTC program director Eric Altamirano sa press launch sa Shakey’s sa Malate, Manila. “The best 24 high school teams in the country will test each other’s true mettle, this is what everybody’s waiting for.â€
Ang apat ay bahagi ng piniling 30 high school caÂgers para sa naturang All-Star Game na nakatakda sa Marso 6-9 sa Ynares Sports Center sa Pasig City bukod pa sa High School National Finals.
Sina San Beda Red Cubs coach JB Sison at NU Bullpups mentor Jeff Napa ang pipili ng tig-15 players para sa kani-kanilang All-Star teams.
“The MMBL serve as the qualifying tour for the NBTC finals. With regards the all-star game, over 60 players from Luzon and NCR tried out for the 24 slots available. This season batch was the best in three years,†ani Ato Badolato, ang pinuno sa selection committee ng NBTC.
Pinuri naman ng Samahang Basketbol ng PilipiÂnas (SBP) ang naturang programa.
“We always encourage this kind of program and we’re glad NBTC is helping the SBP,†dagdag ni SBP executive director Sonny Barrios.
