MANILA, Philippines - Ipinagpaliban ng NCAA Management Committee (ManCom) ang pagsasagawa ng imbestigasyon ukol sa akusasyon na naglaro sa ibang liga kasabay ng NCAA si San Beda Red Lions’ guard Ryusei Koga.

Iniimbestigahan din ng NCAA ManCom si Jeremiah Taladua ng Lyceum Pirates.

“The Management Committee of the NCAA has looked into reports alleging that a player from San Beda College and a player from Lyceum of the Philippine University played in another league while the NCAA season was on­going,” sabi ng NCAA ManCom sa kanilang statement kahapon.

“To allow the teams to focus on the impending semi finals and finals, the NCAA has decided to defer the ongoing investigation into players Ryusei Koga of SBC and Jeremiah Taladua of LPU without prejudice to its reopening should new evidence surface in the future.”

Inamin ng Red Lions na nahihirapan sila sa pagha­han­da sa Final Four ng 89th NCAA season dahil sa naunang ibi­niting desisyon ng ManCom.

“Napakahirap na maghanda mentally dahil hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa natin alam kung ano ang mangyayari with the Final Four set two days from now,” wika ni San Be­­da team manager Jude Roque na nakasama sina San Se­bastian coach Topex Robinson at Letran assistant mentor Gerald Francisco na mga panauhin ng PSA Forum sa Shakey’s Malate kahapon.

May 15-3 baraha ang San Beda at makakaharap ang Perpetual Help taglay ang ‘twice-to-beat’ advantage.

“Just like everybody else, we are waiting for the decision and if the decision is fair, we will abide by it and cooperate,” banggit pa ni Roque.

Sa panig nina Robinson at Francisco, aminado man na problemado ang preparasyon ay hindi naman nila iti­na­tanim sa isipan ang mangyayari.

“Basta kami  laro lamang, kahit sino ang makalaban, wa­lang problema,” banggit pa ni Francisco sa paghahanda ng Knights na sumegunda sa Red Lions sa elimination round.
