Arce kumpiyansang mananalo kay Donaire

MANILA, Philippines - Matapos igiya si Juan Manuel Marquez sa isang sixth-round knockout win kay Manny Pacquiao noong Linggo, ihahatid naman ni strength and conditioning coach Angel Hernandez si Jorge Arce sa panalo kontra kay Nonito ‘The Filipino Flash’ Donaire, Jr. sa Disyembre 16 (Manila time) sa Toyota Center sa Houston, Texas.

Sa panayam ng Bo­xingScene.com kahapon, sinabi ni Hernandez na kumpiyansa siyang tatalunin ng 34-anyos na si Arce ang 29-anyos na si Donaire, ang kasaluku­yang unified world super bantamweight champion.

“It’s been a year and two months of work with him, and the results are there,” sabi ni Hernandez kay Arce, pipiliting agawin kay Donaire ang suot nitong WBO super bantamweight title.

Ang naturang WBO crown ay nakamit ni Do­naire matapos biguin si Wifredo Vazquez Jr. via split decision noong Pebrero kasunod ang pananaig niya kay Jeffrey Mathebula para sa IBF super bantamweight belt noong Hulyo, kontra kay Arce.

Tangan ni Donaire ang kanyang 30-1-0 win-loss-draw ring record kasama ang 19 KOs, habang dala ni Arce ang kanyang 60-6-2 (46 KOs) slate.  Huling tinalo ni Donaire siJapanese superstar Toshiaki ‘Speed King’ Nishioka via ninth-round TKO.
