San Mig coffee mixers magiging palaban
MANILA, Philippines - Habang nagpalakas ng line-up ang halos lahat ng koponan, ang ‘character’ naman ng San Mig Coffee Mixers, dating B-Meg Llamados, ang kanilang iniangat.
“Lahat ng teams nagpalakas ngayon, pero kami ang character ng team ang pinalakas namin,” sabi ni team manager at four-time PBA Most Valuable Player Alvin Patrimonio sa Mixers.
Para sa darating na 38th season ng PBA sa Setyembre 30, hangad ng San Mig Coffee ang kanilang pang 10 PBA crown matapos magkampeon sa nakaraang 2012 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Pinagharian ng prangkisa ang 1990 Third Conference, 1991 All-Filipino, 1993 All-Filipino, 1994 Commissioner’s Cup, 1997 All-Filipino, 2002 Governors Cup, 2006 Philippine Cup at 2009-2010 Philippine Cup.
Muling sasandigan ni head coach Tim Cone sina two-time MVP James Yap, Marc Pingris at Peter June Simon para sa pagsisimula ng PBA Philippine Cup.
Pormal na inilunsad ang pagpapalit ng pangalan ng koponan kamakalawa ng gabi sa pangunguna ni San Miguel Pure Foods Company president Francisco S. Alejo III.

Malugod ring tinanggap ni San Mig Coffee Super Coffeemix Company, Inc. general manager Michael Allan Castro ang San Mig Coffee banner.
Bukod kina Yap, Pingris at Simon, ibabandera din ng Coffee Mixers sina Wesley Gonzales, Jonas Villanueva, Rafi Reavis, JC Intal, Mark Barroca, Chris Pacana, Ken Bono, Joe De Vance, Mike Burtscher at Yancy de Ocampo.
Nahugot naman ng San Mig Coffee sa nakaraang 2012 PBA Rookie Draft ang mga malalaking sina Jewel Ponferada, Gian Chiu at Aldrech Ramos.
