Umaatikabong bakbakan ng Thai players sa Shakey's V-League

MANILA, Philippines - Limang guest pla­yers mula sa Thailand ang ma­kikita sa aksyon para sa darating na ninth season ng Shakey’s V-League na hahataw sa Abril 24 sa The Arena sa San Juan.

Ang pinakatanyag sa grupo ay si Patcharee Sangmuang na dating team captain ng Thai natio­nal team na sumabak sa Southeast Asian Games, Asian Senior Women’s Championships, Asian Club Championships at Five World Grand Prix.

Ang 25-anyos na si Sang­muang, isa sa dala­wang Thai players na ma­kikita sa Shakey’s V-Lea­gue sa unang pagkakataon, ay maglalaro alinman sa Letran o FEU.

Ang ikalawang bagu­hang Thai import ay si Porn­pimol Kunbang na kakampanya para sa nagbabalik na University of Santo Tomas.

Muli namang magla­laro sa liga sina Jaroensri Bualee (San Sebastian), Lithawat Kesinee (Ateneo) at Areerat Sanorseang (FEU o Letran).

“The presence of Thai players is good for us in terms of experience,” wika kahapon ni Moying Martelino, chairman ng nag-oorganisang Sports Vision. “Besides, Thailand is known for its good volleyball program.”

Isang Invitational tournament ang ilalatag din ng Sports Vision sa Nobyembre kung saan iimbitahan nila ang mga koponan ng Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar at Malaysia.
