JCI-Cebu Mactan Channel mopasiugda'g lumba sa dagan

CEBU, Philippines - Maghugop na sab ang mga runners sa ipahigayong 2nd Run to Lead, Run for a Cause" nga gipasiugdahan sa Junior Chamber International (JCI) Cebu-Mactan Channel karong Domingo diha sa Plaza Independencia.

Ang kita sa maong lumba adto mapunta sa "Break the Silence," usa ka deaf child sexual abuse prevention program nga gitukod sa Gualandi Volunteer Service Programme (GVSP) Inc. ug "Read to Lead" campaign sa JCI.

"This is to continue our crusade against unsolved cases of sexual violence against deaf," matud pa ni GVSP program manager John Pal Ecarma Maunes atol sa press conference sa miaging gabii didto sa Tokyo Room sa Marco Polo Hotel.

Usa sa kaso nga nahisgutan mao ang wala masulbad sa paglugos-patay sa usa ka deaf-mute nga si Cherame Gitgano, 17-anyos gikan sa Lapu-Lapu City.

"This run is in memory of Cherame," matud pa ni Maunes. “Our goal is to provide security and equal rights to the deaf. We will go to the different SPED centers in Cebu to help train our hearing impaired brothers and sisters in identifying potential abusers.”  

Ang lumba adunay tulo ka kategoriya,   12K, 6K ug 3K. Ang registration fee nagkantidad og P300 sa regular runners ug P250 alang sa mga estudyante.

Bayente porsiyento nga diskuwento alang sa persons with disabilities ug senior citizens.

Mahimong magparehistro didto sa Runnr sa Ayala Center-Cebu ug and Body Fitness Club sa Talisay.

Usa ka adlaw sa dili pa ang lumba, ang JCI-Mactan Channel mopahigayon og football tournament didto sa San Roque Parish field sa Brgy. Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
