Patrombon sinilat si Dium sa 2nd round ng F2 Mens' Futures
MANILA, Philippines - Nakitaan ng pasensya si Jeson Patrombon upang silatin ang third seed na si Antal Van Der Dium ng Netherlands, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1, sa second round ng F2 Men’s Futures sa Eilat, Israel.
Hindi minadali bagkus ay naghintay ng tamang tiyempo si Patrombon para pakawalan ang mga pamatay na tira upang malusutan ang 349th ranked netter na si Van Der Dium.
Umabante si Patrombon sa quarterfinal round ng torneo.
“All the hard work, coaching and training that we have been doing where put into good use in today’s match. Jeson’s win today is a good and positive indication that we have the skills, talent and perseverance to compete in the Pro level,” wika ni coach Manny Tecson sa ipinakitang laro ni Patrombon.
Susunod na babanggain ni Patrombon ay si Marton Fucsovics ng Hungary na pinagpahinga ang fifth seed na si Ruan Roelofse ng Saudi Arabia, 6-4, 6-4.
Upset man na maituturing, si Fucsovics ay hindi pipitsugin dahil dati siyang Wimbledon Juniors champion at World Number One sa juniors division.
“This is going to be a slugfest and a hard hitting match between two young up and coming Pro players in the circuit. Jeson is playing really well and his confidence is on the rise. Anything is possible in tomorrow’s match and the key is to play the big points smart and aggressive,” pahabol pa ni Tecson.
Si Patrombon lamang ang Pinoy na naglalaro sa second leg dahil si Fil-Italian Marc Reyes ay hindi nakalusot sa qualifying round hindi tulad ng manlalaro na tubong Iligan City.
