Pacquiao-Mayweather fight wala sa plano ni Arum
MANILA, Philippines - Bagamat hinamon ni Manny Pacquiao si Floyd Mayweather, Jr. matapos ang kanyang kontrobersyal na majority decision win kay Juan Manuel Marquez noong Linggo, wala naman ito sa plano ni Bob Arum ng Top Rank Promotions.
Ito ang ibinunyag ni Leonard Ellerbe, ang adviser ng 34-anyos na si Mayweather.
“You have three cowards - Bob Arum, Freddie Roach and Manny Pacquiao,” ani Ellerbe. “Now we all know the truth once and for all why this fight hasn’t been made. It should be clear to everyone that they don’t care what the fans want.”
Hindi makikipag-usap si Arum sa Golden Boy Promotions ni Oscar Dela Hoya para sa megafight nina Pacquiao at Mayweather sa Mayo ng 2012.
“We aren’t ready to do anything definitively,” ani Arum. “When we are ready to make a determination of what we are going to do, we will do it. We are not going to do this in the press.”
“If we want to explore a Mayweather fight, we will sit down with them,” ani Arum.
