MANILA, Philippines - Bagamat nagkamali si World Cup-bound at top seed Grandmaster Wesley So sa kanyang King’s Indian duel kay US-based GM Banjo Barcenilla, naga­wa pa rin niyang kunin ang isang 45-move victory sa fourth round ng National Chess Championships sa NPC Auditorium.

Ito ang pang apat na sunod na panalo ni So ma­tapos igupo sina GMs Joseph Sanchez, Joey Antonio at Roland Salvador.

Halos makukuha na ni So ang pawn advantage bago isinakripisyo ni Barcenilla ang kanyang knight kapalit ng dalawang pawn upang makaiwas sa isang counter-play.
