MANILA, Philippines - Muling sisimulan ang paghahanap sa mga future chess stars ngayong Hulyo sa pagsulong ng Shell National Youth Active Chess Championship (Shell Active Chess) sa pamamagitan ng isang five-leg regional eliminations patungo sa grand finals sa October.
Ang Skydome Event Center sa SM North EDSA ang tatayong host ng first leg sa Hulyo 2-3 para sa National Capital Region leg bago dalhin ang circuit sa Tuguegarao para sa Northern Luzon leg sa Hulyo 23-24 sa Brickstone Mall.
Ang Batangas ang magiging host ng third leg sa Agosto 13-14 para sa Southern Luzon stage at matatapos sa Setyembre 10-11 sa SM Cebu-Activity Center para sa Visayas leg.
Ang pagpapalista para sa Shell Active Chess ay nagaganap na. Ang registration forms ay makukuha sa Pilipinas Shell website (www.shell.com.ph/shell_chess <http://www.shell.com.ph/shell_chess, at sa mga selected schools, chess clubs at municipal/provincial government offices.
Ang entry fee ay P100 para sa limitadong 300 participants sa first-come, first-served basis.
