MMDA-Makati babanderahan ni So sa Nat'l Inter-Cities chessfest

-

MANILA, Philippines –  Mula sa kanyang silver medal finish sa nakaraang 16th Asian Games sa Guangzhou, China, sasabak si GM Wesley So at ang lima niyang kakampi sa 2010 National Inter-Cities and Municipalities chess team championship sa Disyembre 18-19 sa People’s Astrodome sa Dagupan City.

Babanderahan ni So ang koponan ng Makati-Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) sa nasabing two-day competition na inorganisa ng National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) ni president/chairman Prospero “Butch” Pichay.

Pamumunuan naman ni GM John Paul Gomez ang Quezon City-Local Water Utilities Administration-A., habang si GM Darwin Laylo ang haharap para sa Mandaluyong City.

“The presence of Wesley and two other national players, who made the country proud in the recent Asian Games in China, will add luster to the season-ending tournament,” sabi ni Pichay.

Bukod sa Gomez-led LWUA-A, maglalahok rin ang Quezon City-based government firm ng LWUA-B of Haridas Pascua and LWUA-C of Cristy Lamiel Bernales.

Ang iba pang notable entries ay ang dating Asian Cities champion Tagaytay City na pangungunahan ni NM Edmundo Gatus; ang Malabon City ni IM Barlo Nadera; ang Pasig City ni Dennis San Juan; ang Pasay City ni Allan Cantonjos at ang Palawan ni Verth Alora.
