Bagong import sa Texters?

MANILA, Philippines - Matapos madiskaril ang pagpasok sa championship series, handa na nga bang palitan ni coach Chot Reyes si Shawn Da­niels para sa napakahalagang Game Seven bukas?

Mayroon na lamang mamayang alas-5 ng hapon si Reyes at ang Talk ‘N Text upang ipaalam sa PBA Commissioner’s Office kung sisibakin na nila ang 31-anyos na si Daniels kasabay ng paghugot kay Omar Sharrif Sneed.

Ang 6-foot-6 na si Daniels, nasa kanyang ikaapat na torneo sa PBA, ang na­ging bahagi ng ikinasang 13-game winning streak ng PLDT franchise sa elimination round.

Tinalo ng Alaska Aces ni Tim Cone ang Tropang Texters ni Reyes, 94-83, sa Game Six nitong Linggo upang itabla sa 3-3 ang kanilang best-of-seven semifinals series para sa 2009-2010 PBA Fiesta Con­ference sa Araneta Coliseum.

Ang mananalo sa pagitan ng Alaska at Talk ‘N Text sa kanilang banggaan bu­kas ng alas-7 ng gabi sa Big Dome ang siyang hahamon sa nagdedepensang San Miguel sa best-of-seven championship showdown.

“It’s really not because of Shawn. It’s because of effort,” ani Reyes na pinuna ang maliit na produksyon nina Mac Cardona at Ranidel De Ocampo sa kanilang semis series. “What’s Macmac’s shooting percentage? What’s Ranidel shooting? We shot below 40 percent. But we really have to look at Shawn and Sneed. The possibility of replacing is there.”

Sa 82-81 panalo ng Tropang Texters sa Aces sa Game Four, walang naiskor si Cardona na may 2 puntos naman sa 83-94 nilang pagkatalo sa Game Six.

“We need a better effort on Wednesday, and we’ll see what happens. We real­ly need to find a way to come out with more energy and effort than Alaska,” sabi ni Reyes.
