ISAA cagefest magbubukas ngayon

MANILA, Philippines - Mas malakas at mas matu­nog na ikalawang sea­son ng Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association (ISAA)ang magbubukas ngayon sa Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Kabilang sa mga koponang maghaharap matapos ang ma­kulay na opening ceremonies sa alas-9 ng umaga ay ang de­fending men’s basketball champion Lyceum na haharapin ang Philippine Women’s University.

Magpapakitang gilas rin ang host Feati University kontra Ma­nila Doctors College at ang Southville International School and Colleges na haharapin ang Manila Adventist Medical Center and Colleges. Bye ang La Consolacion College-Manila.

“’We’re not as popular as the other college leagues like the UAAP or the NCAA. But we believe there is still a space left for at least one more collegiate league her in the country,” sabi ni ISAA president at La Consolacion athletic director Jose Yayen sa PSA Forum kamakailan.

‘‘We are still a young league. And we got some words that other universities will be joining as soon,” dagdag ni Melenie Tolentino ng Feati University na siya ring ISAA vice-pre­sident.

Kasama sa kalendaryo ng liga ang badminton, swimming, volleyball at table tennis.

Ang tema ngayong ta­on ay “Building Future Le­gends and Conquering New Heights.”

Panauhing panda­ngal at keynote speaker si four-time PBA MVP Alvin Patri­monio.
