1,200 jins sasabak sa newcomers' tilt

MANILA, Philippines - Tinatayang aabot sa 1,2000 taekwondo athle­tes ang maglalaban-laban para sa karangalan ng 2010 Smart National New Face of the Year Cham­pionships sa Mayo 8-9 sa Rizal Memorial coliseum.

“This is the event whe­­re newcomers can de­m­onstrate what they have learned so far in the sports of taekwondo,” wika ni Philippine Taekwondo Association president Ro­­bert N. Aventajado.

Ang mga kalahok ay magmumula sa lahat ng affiliated PTA chapters at branches sa Metro Manila maging sa mga probinsi­ya, kabilang ang iba’t ibang military branches.

Ang aksyon ay tatampukan ng anim na kate­gorya, senior men at wo­men, junior men at women at grade school boys and girls. Ang bawat division ay mayroong Novice 1 at 2 at Advance levels.
